This mock up front cover simply establishes the theme and colour scheme of the magazine. It is more an example of branding than what each front cover will look like. There will be elements of this in the final magazine cover; of course the FLIX title will remain the same and the logo, but the background will not be entirely black since there will be a photo filling up the page. I am currently working on sketches for the double page spread and the layout of front cover.
I noticed while conducting my website research that film magazines tend to showcase the latest films and have a bold menu title screen to encourage interactivity. I have listed an example of Film magazine below and Empire.
Here it is showcasing the most recent successful films. I also noticed the font is bold and rigid, a common theme of branding for movie related websites. So I attempted to replicate this.
Empire magazine also has a similar bold rigid font and too showcases films but it has a lighter colour scheme. I wanted to keep a dark colour scheme for my page as I am shaping out a certain aesthetic.
Idea for website:
This meet the team page will be fairly simple in its style as other website styles are modelled such as Vogue
